I have never written a blog, but I do tend to write a lot, and I mean a lot! In fact, I express myself better in words than I do in person, ask anyone I know. They have received the long-winded birthday card, or Christmas card, or had to sit through me writing diary entries whilst on holiday (yes love, you know who you are! Haha).
I’ve always been a great writer. It helps that I read books, loads of them, especially as a kid. Now I have a kid that reads even more than I did as a kid, and I’m super proud.
Which gets me to my next point. I’m here because I am very passionate about a few things in life right now. I am passionate about staying home with my children. I cannot be anywhere else right now. So I have created this little biz for me, for them and for you too because I believe I have something special I can share with you.
I am passionate about equal pay, women’s rights, equality in general in the workplace (not just women). I am determined to see more women enter the workforce in a more flexible capacity. I am passionate about giving women confidence to just go for jobs that are just that little bit out of their reach, because they can. Perhaps even jobs in leadership. We need more women making decisions.
It is a fact that men tend to go for jobs they are not always 100% qualified to do, yet women, if they cannot tick off all the criteria in the job application, they won’t go for the job.
It is important to have at least one thing you are not 100% experienced in when you go for a job. I found that if I could do everything, I lost interest very quickly and moved on. Having a challenge is good for you and it is good for the employer. So don’t be scared go for it!
And if you don’t think you can, get in touch with me, and I will show you how you can! Let’s get that resume in order, let’s have a coaching chat about where you are, where you want to be and how we can get there together!
